Places: Cities & Towns
Cities and towns are scattered across the Flanaess, and a good number of them have been visited by the Blackrazor Guild. A few have even survived the encounter unscathed. The index below lists all the cities associated with our campaign, regardless of country (though each has a link indicating which country its associated with)
Notable GriffCrier Cities:
- Obsidian Bay: An independent city state residing on the Pomarj peninsula, and home to numerous adventuring guilds.
- Blue: A seedy, rundown Pomarjian town conquered by Obsidian Bay during the Greyhawk Wars.
- Hochoch: The capitol of Geoff during the giant occupation and still one of its most prominent cities.
Fortune sometimes has unexpected results. Thus was how Gaiseric came into nobility.
A major port and slaving center for the Great Kingdom of Northern Aerdy.
A chain of hills in the western Bone March currently overrun with humanoids.
A once-lawless town on the Pomarj that is now the second largest city in the Domain of Obsidian Bay.
Bordton is a much more reputable suburb of Blue. Basically a farming community, Bordton is home to honest, working class citizens and was the prior home of George Fillerman.
A ruined town on the foothills of the Drachensgrab, once ruled by the lich Brantis, the last of his family line.
The settlement that has cropped up around the Blackrazor Brewery.
A small fishing village on the southestern edge of the Pomarj's Great Southern Plain.
A small elven village in the Dim Forest taken over by a shadow dragon in CY 584 but liberated by the Blackrazors in CY 589.
The capital of the Great Kingdom of Northern Aerdy.
Elversford is one of the last bastions of good in fallen lands of the Great Kingdom. The village resides in the Adri Forest.
A tiny village in the middle of the Northern Aerdian plains.
A fort located just outside of the Oytwood. It was badly damaged in Patchwall 4, 590 when it was attacked by a rampaging pyrohydra; the hydra was slain by the Blackrazor Guild in route to the defense of The Lea.
A new village founded near the devastated elven village of Preston in the Oytwood. It has a wooden palisade and about 20 human bowman and 40 pikemen as guards.
A small village outside of Eastfair in Northern Aerdy.
A village located on the Great Southern Plain of the Pomarj. It was destroyed by rampaging gibberlings in CY 588.
The capital of the Duchy of Geoff. Taken by the giants in CY 584, retaken by the forces of Geoff -- augmented by the Steelstorm Guild -- in mid-CY 590.
A Keoish port city on the Azure Sea.
Greyhawk, the Gem of the Flanaess, is in many ways the very heart of civilization.

A Free City that constantly battles the encroaching advances of the much larger and powerful Domain of Greyhawk.
A ruined keep located in the Drachensgrabs that once served as a place of worship and power for the Church of Hextor.
One of the major cities of the Orcish Empire of Turrosh Mak, Highport is a city with a reputation for uncommon cruelty and unrelenting evil.
The new capitol of Geoff and the staging area for the war to retake the fallen Duchy.
Formerly part of the corrupt Great Kingdom, Innspa is now a Free City ruling over its own domain, but allied with one of Old Aerdy's successor states, the Great Kingdom of Northern Aerdy.

A run-down port city north of the Adri Forest in the former Great Kingdom.
A city located on the northern Wild Coast which is currently under the protection of the Domain of Greyhawk.
The capital of the Kingdom of Onnwall, former member of the Iron League, now contested vassal state of the Scarlet Brotherhood.
Shapic is commonly referred to by the merchant’s guild of Blue as “another gods-forsaken back woods mud hole in the foot of the Drachensgrabs”

A Blackrazor stronghold located near the edge of the Mistmarsh in the Domain of Greyhawk.
The Tarwood an area of forest in the foothills of the Drachensgrabs some 20 miles or so northwest of Blue
A town in central Geoff that fell to the giants in CY 584, but was liberated by the Steelstorm Guild in early CY 590.
Independent city subservient to the Archclericy of Veluna
After some delay Baldwin, who still refers to himself as "The Mighty K'sograh," has begun construction of his redoubt in Geoff. Consisting of a single tower, it is designed to be a residence, a place of arcane study, and a base from which to conduct military operations.
